EScrap Rule Filed

August 3, 2009 Missouri Register

Check out the e-cycle Missouri website: http://www.ecyclemo.org

The proposed e-scrap rule and emergency e-scrap rule were filed June 19 with the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, or JCAR, and the Secretary of State. The language for both rules are identical, except that the emergency rule includes a statement that describes the need for an emergency rule. The emergency e-scrap rule will be effective July 1, 2009 and expire February 25, 2010.

The proposed rule will be published in the Missouri Register on August 3, 2009. The comment period for the proposed rule will begin August 3, 2009 and end October 22, 2009. A public hearing on the proposed rule will be held October 15, 2009 at the Missouri Hazardous Waste Management Commission meeting. If you have comments on the proposed rule, you may want to send them in before the commission meeting so your comments can be discussed at the meeting. The final rule will be effective April 30, 2010.
