EIERA Soliciting Bids - Support Services

The Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority (EIERA) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors interested in providing services to support the Missouri Market Development Program (MMDP). The MMDP promotes the development and maintenance of markets for recovered materials and recycled-content products throughout Missouri by providing financial incentives, technical assistance, business assistance and informational services to businesses, governments, and other organizations. One or more contractors may be selected for work associated with any or all of the following: Recruiting projects for program participation, Providing direct informational assistance to businesses, governments, and other organizations to increase manufacturing, marketing and purchasing of recycled-content products; Developing and distributing tools needed to increase and sustain recycling in Missouri; Developing and executing customized business specific Technical Assistance Projects to overcome barriers to increasing the use of recovered materials by manufacturers seeking to develop, refine or market products made from recovered materials. The deadline for submitting a proposal is 5:00 p.m., June 16, 2010. Recycling Specialist, City of Rolla

THE CITY OF ROLLA Solid Waste Department is seeking applications for the position of Recycling Specialist. This position requires a BS degree in Environmental Science, Physical or Life Sciences, Communications, or a related field; or a minimum of two years experience in the recycling and solid waste management industry; or considerable knowledge of municipal waste and recycling issues and practices. Duties will include; plan, organize, and conduct promotional and public awareness efforts including special events, public speaking, and facility tours; expanding or improving existing recycling programs; researching and implementing appropriate recycling initiatives, apply for grant funding, and provide office/clerical support. Recycling Materials Broker, Haz-Waste, Inc.

Description

Haz-Waste, Inc. has a need for a talented professional capable of identifying, prospecting, establishing and maintaining strong business relationships in the recycling field.

This person would assume responsibility for marketing recycled materials for customers specific needs. Telephone prospecting, sending out samples to potential customers, and brokering materials.
