2017 Proposed Bills of Interest
House Bills
HB 222 Prohibits the enforcement of any federal regulation by any state department or agency unless the enforcement is approved by the General Assembly
HB 1375 – Specifies that the Department of Natural Resources shall conduct an evaluation as part of an implementation of any changes to the water quality standards.
HB1116-Changes the laws regarding ordinances of political subdivisions by prohibiting any ordinance that bans plastic bags
HB 2006 Appropriates money for the expenses, grants, refunds, and distributions of the Department of Agriculture, Department of Natural Resources, and Department of Conservation.
HB 2582 – Prohibits the enforcement of any federal regulation by any state department or agency unless the enforcement is approved by the General Assembly.
HB 2614 – Transfers the State Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority to the Department of Natural Resources, removes the authority's power to acquire, hold and dispose of real property, and moves the Energy Resources Insured Loan Fund to the state treasury.
HB 2733 – Prohibits the collection of water, soil, or commodity samples by governmental entities without the written consent of the landowner.
HB 2006 – Appropriates money for the expenses, grants, refunds, and distributions of the Department of Agriculture, Department of Natural Resources, and Department of Conservation.
Senate Bills
SB 669- This act transfers certain fees, bond forfeitures, and penalties assessed by the Department of Natural Resources from dedicated funds managed by the Department of Natural Resources to general revenue.
